i thought it would be interesting for those of us who still attend the meetings to let everyone know what our local needs part was/will be this week.
(the km allots 15 minutes to local needs at this weeks service meeting).
ours will be on meeting attendance.
One of the best local needs i can remember was about 3 years ago.
The Elder was abit of an old duffer..however.
Anyway the theme was Masturbation...dunno how he knew it was a local problem though....
His opening words? "we are going to talk about something we all do....................."
I have never heard so many stifled laughs at the KH.
Ditto i have never seen so much squirming in Peoples Seats.

have you found some new band or artist that you would reccomend we listen to...for this to work we would need to know what style of music you normally listen to and then we can know if its what we would enjoy...eg.
i like pink floyd...genesis...yes...etc.....................and have just found mercury rev......brill
Im also enjoying the kaiser chiefs and QOTSA new Cd,s at the moment.Not forgetting Kasabian and (its been out for a while) American Idiot by Green Day..awesome CD and very aware...my personal fave of the last 6 Months or so....

This is scary stuff I use P2P file sharing and sometimes the stuff you get ain't what you wanted if you know what I mean! I try to check all the files I get and IMMEDIATLY delete ANYTHING questionable!

Well,check out an Icelandic band called Sigur ros..absolutely beautiful ..very influenced by radiohead and maybe a bit of Bjork too.
Also if you like Mercury rev try the Polyphonic spree and the Flaming lips.Also Granddaddy are great!"God speed you black emperor"are another goodie!Also how about .....and you will know us by the trail of dead!!

i've just learned from a trusted contact at thewatchtower.org 'norris', that the society intend to put a resolution to the congregations shortly - though definately not at the 'special talk' meeting next month.. here's the scary bit.
this resolution needs to be responded to by all baptized jehovah's witnesses.
